Church Building Construction:

Church construction began in 1961, and the church building has been constructed four times so far. In 2025, as per Resolution No. 1 of the 216th UPC Lunglei District Board, initiatives were taken to plan the rebuilding of the church.

As residents gradually migrated away, the location of the church building became isolated. The abandoned Baptist Church building was renovated, with financial assistance received from the District. Thus, the church building was prepared and made ready for use. On December 7, 2025, District Pastor Rev. LH. Lalchhandama conducted the inauguration. The dimensions of the church building are 30 by 24 feet. Most families from Thehlep have migrated to various places. Currently, there are about 6 households in this village, and at the time of this report, it is exclusively a UPC village. There are currently 19 members: 10 males and 9 females.
