INITIATIVES FOR CHURCH FORMATION

In 1964 at Bualpui ‘V’, Pu Saikhuma (Rahsiveng), Pu Thangliana (Pukpui), Ni Rothangi (a skilled dancer from Sekhum), and several others conducted a Gospel Crusade and Campaign. Church services were held at the residence of Pu Vuka, and during autumn, Pastor Chuauruma baptized the following individuals:

  • i) Chawngdailova
  • ii) Pu Vuka
  • iii) Ch. Rosanga
  • iv) Dothuami
  • v) Lalzela
  • vi) Doliana
  • vii) Doruma
  • viii) Thangliana
  • ix) Vanzika
  • x) Chuauliana

That same year, a church building was constructed just above the residence of Pu Sangkhuma. The following year, the following members received baptism as well:

  • i) Siammawia
  • ii) Tlanglawma
  • iii) Saikaphnuni

After the villagers were regrouped to Chhipphir, members scattered to various places, causing church activities to temporarily cease.

As time passed, through the faithful remnants, the District PYD arranged to station Evangelist Rawngbawla in 1996. The remaining members gathered again, holding Sunday services at the residence of Bro. H. Hrangmawia. At the time, there were four active members: Sis. Saikaphnuni, Bro. H. Hrangmawia, Bro. F. Lalawmpuia, and Sis. Rozikpuii. Pastor H. Enmawia formally organized the church. Later, Rbt. Lalnghinglova and Evan. Zoramchhana were posted as missionaries, and members joyously gathered together. However, over time, maintaining regular services with very few members became challenging, causing organized services to lapse once again.

RE-ESTABLISHMENT INITIATIVES

In 2012, the District declared the area a Home Missionary field and stationed Evan. Rochungnunga Renthlei, who gathered former church members who had moved to the Baptist Church to restart the work. Initially, around six members restarted the fellowship, even holding Christmas feasts with just 2 kg of meat. Before securing a church building, services were held at Bro. H. Hrangmawia's house. In 2013, through the joint efforts of the District and Section, an Evangelist Quarters was constructed on land donated by Pu H. Lalnunmawia, and services were subsequently held in the quarters. In 2015–2016, Evan. Lallawmsanga was stationed, and members conducted fundraising activities. Through the efforts of Pastor Lalbiakdika Chawhte, Pu H. Hranghnuna donated land for a church building. On August 20, 2016, Rev. R. Lalrosanga laid the foundation stone; the District funded the project, and the Section constructed the building. On Saturday, October 19, 2016 at 12:00 PM, Rev. PC. Lalrosanga officially inaugurated the church in the name of the Lord Jesus. In 2017–2018, Evan. R. Lalremsiama served the congregation, and through strong collaboration, church pews and a pulpit were constructed, equipping the church facility well. On May 10, 2018, Evan. R. Lalrokhawma was stationed, resulting in significant progress. The quarters were swapped with Pu Chhungremthanga's house adjacent to the church for better convenience, rebuilt, and occupied on December 17, 2018.

Through the dedication of Home Missionaries, strong member collaboration, and divine guidance, Rev. LH. Lalchhandama, Chhipphir Section Pastor, officially declared Bualpui 'V' a full-fledged local church on Sunday, March 14, 2021. The inaugural local leaders appointed were:
