Putlungasih village is situated on the P.B. Road, located between Zawlpui and Belthei. Formerly under the Lungsen Pastorate, it is currently under the Zawlpui Pastorate. It is a fairly sizeable village consisting of around 300 households.

Prior to 1998, the Pentecostal Church had not yet been established here. Consequently, the District Missions Department placed the area under the Kauchhuah Field, where Evangelist Evan. Chalzuama of Kauchhuah carried out ministry work as best as he could. On May 10, 1998, a wonderful church was born. Pastor MS. Dawngliana, the Pastorate Minister of Lungsen at that time, officially organized the church, and the following were appointed as the first leaders:

When the church was first established, there were 32 members. These initial leaders made every possible effort to move forward. To establish a more mature and stable church, the Lungsen Pastorate PYD decided to independently employ an Evangelist in Putlungasih village. They appointed Bro. H. Rothuama from Lungsen for this work. Considering it a divine calling, his family entered Putlungasih on May 9, 2000, to begin their ministry work. Their four years of service, supported by the dedication of the Lungsen Pastorate PYD, yielded fruitful results. The Lungsen Pastorate PYD even built a good quarters for the Evangelist to reside in. Eventually, the District Missions Department relieved the Lungsen Pastorate PYD of their hard work and took over responsibility starting January 1, 2004. Bro. H. Rothuama was engaged as a Free Evangelist by the District Missions Department starting in 2005, and Putlungasih Local was placed under the P.B. Road Field. Today, it stands as a wonderful church with over 130 members.

Starting from 2001, they strived as best as they could to construct a church building, and by the end of 2003, it was completed for use. On January 11, 2005, Rev. Zalawma, District Secretary, joyfully dedicated and inaugurated it to God. Current Status :

Putlungasih was opened as a Home Missions Field under the care of the District Missions Department. Evangelists Evan H. Rothuama, Evan Lalchungnunga, Evan Simona Hmar, Evan PC. Lalremruata (Buanga), Evan T. Biaklala, Evan Lalhriatmawia, and Evan Lalthlamuanawma have served here. A church building was constructed with RCC and has been occupied; the church building measures 42/24 feet in length and width. Currently (2025), there are around 65 church members.
